The pelletizing device is the main device in the auxiliary equipment of extrusion pelletizing equipment. The pelletizing auxiliary machine can be divided into two parts: hot cutting and cooling according to its different working methods and functions. Hot cutting can be divided into dry cutting, water ring cutting and underwater cutting. Their specific working methods and application characteristics are as follows.

Dry cutting: The dry cutting pellet production method means that after the strip material is extruded from the extruder, it is cut into granules of uniform length by the rotating blade immediately, and then the pellet is sent to the cooling and screening device by the fan through the pipeline. This granulation method is suitable for mixing and granulating polyethylene gas materials.

Water ring cutting: The production method of water ring pelletizing means that the strips extruded from the extruder are immediately pelletized by the rotating blade and thrown to the high-speed rotating water ring attached to the inner wall of the pelletizing machine, and then the water flow removes the pellets. Take it to the water separator for dehydration, dry it and then send it to the material cooling device for cooling, which is the finished product. This production method is suitable for mixing and granulating polyolefin materials.

Underwater cutting: The underwater pelletizing production method means that the strips extruded by the extruder are immediately put into water to cool down, and then cut into pellets, and then the pellets are sent to the centrifugal dryer by circulating water for dehydration and drying. This pelletizing method is more suitable for twin-screw extruder mixing and pelletizing raw materials for larger batch production.

Cold cutting pellets: Cooling pellets refer to the material that has been mixed and plasticized by the extruder. It is formed into plastic sheet-like materials from the molding die in front of the barrel. It is first dropped into the water tank to cool down and then coiled up. Then it is cut with a special Pelletizer cuts into pellets. This extrusion and pelletizing production method is suitable for mixing and pelletizing raw materials of polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS , and polyethylene terephthalate.
